Why are you striving these days Why are you trying to earn grace Why are you crying Let me lift up your face Just don't turn away Why are you looking for love Why are you still searching as if I'm not enough To where will you go child Tell me where will you run To where will you run And I'll be by your side Wherever you fall In the dead of night Whenever you call And please don't fight These hands that are holding you My hands are holding you Look at these hands and my side They swallowed the grave on that night When I drank the world's sin So I could carry you in And give you life I want to give you life Cause I, I love you I want you to know That I, I love you I'll never let you go Cause I, I love you I want you to know That I, I love you I'll never let you g |
This is one the songs I often sing with my kids before turning out the light. It reassures them that when they sleep, Jesus loves them still. When the light is out and it gets a bit creepy, Jesus loves them still. Because the Bible tells us so. This song also helps me to settle down anytime when I fret and worry about things in life; it reassures me, through simple words, that Jesus loves me. That is all. That is all I ever need to know and all my kids ever need to know.
| Jesus loves me! this I know, For the Bible tells me so. Little ones to Him belong; they are weak but He is strong. Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me! The Bible tells me so. Jesus loves me! He who died heaven's gate to open wide; He will wash away my sin, let His little child come in. Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me! The Bible tells me so. |

If you've ever been in Sunday School, you probably have heard this beautiful song: "God is so good". This song is so simple but it always touches my heart. Here is the lyrics:
|
God is so good, He cares for me, I love Him so, I praise His Name, |
|
For those who have not tasted the goodness of God, it's hard to imagine how good God is and why Christians keep repeating like mindless robots that God is good. I can not speak for anyone else but for myself. I accepted Jesus into my heart and was born again when I was 19 years old. It's been more than ten years since then and I can not say everyday for me has been just peachy and sunny. There have been difficult time, even for someone as optimisitic as me.
But every single time when I am down and hopeless, when I felt as if there were no one else but me, my Father in heaven always came to my rescue. But I always needed to ask for help first. You see, God is a gentleman. He does not force his way to my life or my heart. He could but he chose not to. He does not force me to love him. Like a parent with a wayward child, he stood by the door and waited for me to turn to him, each and every time when I went astray. Then he scooped me up, wiped my tears, and said, in a way only he can: "It's alright child. I am here. You are safe now. ".
Yes, God is good, because I've known him and experienced him, not just with my mind, but with my heart and soul. Friends, I invite you to experience the goodness of my daddy in Heaven. You will not regret it.
1 I lift up my eyes to the hills—
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
| I was sure by now,God, that You would have reached down and wiped our tears away, stepped in and saved the day. But once again, I say amen and it's still raining as the thunder rolls I barely hear You whisper through the rain, "I'm with you" and as Your mercy falls I raise my hands and praise the God who gives and takes away. Chorus: And I'll praise you in this storm and I will lift my hands for You are who You are no matter where I am and every tear I've cried You hold in your hand You never left my side and though my heart is torn I will praise You in this storm I remember when I stumbled in the wind You heard my cry to You and raised me up again my strength is almost gone how can I carry on if I can't find You and as the thunder rolls I barely hear You whisper through the rain "I'm with you" and as Your mercy falls I raise my hands and praise the God who gives and takes away Chorus I lift my eyes onto the hills where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth I lift my eyes onto the hills where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth Chorus |

This is another song that we all love as a family. My four-year-old heard this song at church and keeps singing:"Never let go, never let go." Yes, what a simple yet powerful message. God never let go of us. We those who have placed our trust in Him will never be forsaken or forgotten. God never let go and this much I wish we all know. If you don't already know Jesus or have not placed your trust in Him, may I say:" Friends, please come and experience the steadfast love of our Lord Jesus Christ." If you want to but are unsure, pray to the Lord and ask him to help you see his amazing love. Ask him to reveal himself to you so that you may believe, so that in this world of so many storms, you can hold on to someone who will never, ever let go.
